Music / NewsKanye West rumoured to be performing new song at the BritsFinally, an actual reason to watch the awards showShareLink copied ✔️February 25, 2015MusicNewsTextZing Tsjeng Kanye West is injecting the Brit Awards with a much-needed relevancy boost by performing a new song at tonight’s ceremony. Yeezy was a last-minute addition to the show’s lineup, which already includes Taylor Swift, Madonna, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Paloma Faith, Royal Blood, George Ezra and Take That. See what I mean about relevancy? (Minus Tay Tay, obviously.) The Mirror reports that proceedings around West’s new song are so hush-hush that only seven people were allowed to watch him rehearse it. A source told the newspaper: “He wants the first time everyone hears it to be special.” West is no stranger to using high-profile stunts to launch new songs. In 2013, he premiered “New Slaves” by projecting a video of the Yeezus track on 66 buildings around the world. So expect something pretty big tonight. Yeezy season approaching! The Brits will be shown at 8pm tonight on ITV. Watch Kanye West, Sia and Vic Mensa perform “Wolves” on SNL: Liked this?
