WikimediaMusicNewsKanye fan creates two-hour ‘Yeezus’ guerrilla footage filmMissed out on seeing the Yeezy live this year? Check out this labour of extreme loveShareLink copied ✔️December 1, 2014MusicNewsTextZing Tsjeng A giant mountain! A thousand blinged-out Margiela masks! Jesus! Just about anybody who went to Kanye West's Yeezus tour came back raving about the scale and spectacle of the arena gigs. But Yeezy only blessed a few select cities in North America and Australia with his presence, which leaves a big part of the world out in the cold. One diehard obsessive has come up with the next best thing. John Colandra, a 23-year-old old from New Jersey, has created a two-hour fanmade Yeezus film cut from guerilla and professional concert footage compiled from almost every stop on the tour. Writing about the project, he says: "The film flows beautifully and not a single major aspect of the Yeezus tour goes unnoticed. Detail was crucial and over seven months of work went into this project." We're inclined to agree. Jump-cuts, surprisingly decent sound, some great close-up shots – this isn't your average iPhone clip. And given that Hype Williams has yet to put out the official Yeezus tour documentary since releasing the trailer nine months ago, this fandom tribute will have to do. Colandra says he is also about to start work on similar videos for the Watch The Throne tour and Glow in the Dark, the 2008 Kanye tour that featured guest spots from Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D, and Nas.
