MusicFirst LookWatch David Lynch’s hypnotic new videoMindy Jones is haunted by Wicker Man-esque masked figures in Moby’s ‘reversion’ of ‘The Big Dream’ShareLink copied ✔️April 28, 2014MusicFirst LookTextOwen Myers Mindy Jones isn’t as well-known as David Lynch’s previous musical collaborators such as Lykke Li or Chrysta Bell, but her presence is just as singular in the video for Moby’s noirish “reversion” of “The Big Dream” (lifted from The Big Dream Remixes EP). In grainy monochrome, Jones’ eyes burn as carnivalesque figures in animal masks peekaboo from the shadows, while the looming, Lynchian-to-the-letter sound crashes all around. “I wanted the video to look and feel like something that could have been made in Weimar-era Berlin in the 20's,” says Moby, who directed the video.
