He was reportedly found dead in his Chicago apartment by a friend, ABC News reports. An overdose is the suspected cause of death. In October 2013, Rashad released Double Cup through Hyperdub, to critical acclaim, and the producer's new EP We On 1 is due to come out next week. Musicians and music fans alike took to Twitter to pay tribute to the juke producer widely regarded as one of the most innovative artists in the world of dance music. RIP Rashad.
