Dark-hearted London guitar four-piece Vuvuvultures are fronted by Harmony Boucher, the female model who also featured in Dazed's SS12 Collections Issue. Their debut album Push/Pull beat with taut post-punk guitar lines and a haunted house organ, but here "Deaf Epic" is given a squinty reimagination by their friends, dark electronic duo CREEP. The pair layer a moaning low-register pulse with Boucher's cut-throat lyrics, which are delivered in a vocal that is given a Fever Ray-like treatment. In their hands, the song cranks forward as if ossified with tar – as if it was made for staring, black-eyed, into the face of those who dare to doubt.
