We threw the sunglasses brand a birthday party, and you can see a video of what happened on the side. Legends never die, so for the 75th Anniversary party we called two people who have defined rock in the 80s, 90s and 00s – Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie. The venue was Islington Town Hall, a neo-classical building in near London's Old Street, which saw the funk proffessorial movements of Kindness and the grunge of Splashh open. “I’ve known Bobby for a long time,” Gordon said before taking the stage. “I saw one of his first ever gigs, when Primal Scream played with The Jesus and Mary Chain. We usually try and see each other once a year.” Audience members were lucky enough to be in on this 2012's annual meeting, and the pair of musicians who – each in their respective cities – rejuvenated a powerful belief in art rock's primal heart. A version of The Stooges' "Now I Wanna Be Your Dog", performed by both Bobby and Kim, closed the show, and if you weren't there, you can watch that alongside a short video interview on the side.
