The young Angolan producer landing on the London-based label presents his new EP, video and an exclusive mix for us
London-based, Angolan-born Brey is the latest producer to land on Svetlana Industries - the label that brought you Teebs, BNJMN, and Nightwave - for their next release. With support from Scratcha DVA, Night Slugs' Bok Bok, and Brackles already, the young musician has had his Kreayshawn mashup and remix for Javeon McCarthy championed, as well as a track on Ramadanman's Fabriclive compilation under the alias Die Barbie Musik Kollektiv.
I’d say my special talent is Sorcery. Although that only exists when playing Dungeons & Dragons with a big bag of Maria Juanita. When back to the normal world, my special talent is definitely making something out of nothing
The diverse new four-track EP, running between from 140 - 94 BPM explores several musical styles with a more organic approach than previous Svetlana releases, incorporating vocals from Pittsburgh rapper Vinny Radio, and even full brass sections and guitar solos.
