London-based, Angolan-born Brey is the latest producer to land on Svetlana Industries - the label that brought you Teebs, BNJMN, and Nightwave - for their next release. With support from Scratcha DVA, Night Slugs' Bok Bok, and Brackles already, the young musician has had his Kreayshawn mashup and remix for Javeon McCarthy championed, as well as a track on Ramadanman's Fabriclive compilation under the alias Die Barbie Musik Kollektiv.

The diverse new four-track EP, running between from 140 - 94 BPM explores several musical styles with a more organic approach than previous Svetlana releases, incorporating vocals from Pittsburgh rapper Vinny Radio, and even full brass sections and guitar solos.

...your worst vice?
Smoking cigarettes used to be my worst vice but it’s now been replaced with starching my clothes. I don’t really leave the house unless my shirts are stiffer than *censored*

... your favourite sound?
I imagine it’s the imaginary sound of my firstborn’s cry.  The sound of the ocean is a close second.

...your greatest inspiration?
Today It’s Alber Elbaz. Tomorrow it could be DJ Screw.

...your favourite music label?
I always find it hard to pinpoint a favourite anything as I’m constantly introducing myself to new shit every year, but Stones Throw & Mo Wax are two that I’ve always been drawn to. Most recently Acton’s finest - PMR Records, Sub Pop, EMI India, Interscope, Honest Jon’s…..come to think of it, this could take hours.
