Having lived on a Hare Krishna farm whilst completing art school before forming a creative hub in Boston, Taraka and Nimai Larson spent their time working with controversial artist Paul Laffoley, before becoming artists in residence at the Issue Project Room when relocating to Brooklyn. Their new album on Paw Tracks, entitled 'Trust Now' is a psychedelic blend of mystical synth pop set in a truly lush environment - where dark and eerily hypnotic voices are the perfect accompaniment to their haunting melodies, tinkling bells and pounding drums. Produced with Avey Tare & Deakin of Animal Collective, their 5th full-length album (and first as a duo since Michael Collins took a hiatus), shows the sisters have taken inspirations from ancient symbolism and rituals to create a new surreal universe unique to them.
