Music / RiseK-X-PThis month, the Finnish electro-rock group release their new EP, 'Easy', they tell us the origins behind their name and what makes a good breakfastShareLink copied ✔️November 2, 2011MusicRiseText Chantelle Symester K-X-P A follow up to last year’s self-titled debut album, Finnish experimental electro-rock band K-X-P, release a three-track EP called ‘Easy’ to mark their signing to Manchester’s Melodic Records. As distant reincarnations of the bands Op:l Bastards and The Lefthanded, the group consists of Timo Kaukolampo (electronics and vocals), Tuomo Puranen (bass and keyboards) and rotating drummers Anssi Nykänen and Tomi Leppanen. Keen to keep things as obscure as possible the band don’t intend to clarify their sound any more than they have, drawing elements from glam rock, black metal, and punk just to name a few. But it’s been said that the sound of the 'Easy EP’, including the tracks ‘Easy’, ‘Cymbalim’ and Suhu Moments’, gives hints towards the group’s next album supposedly heading towards us sooner than we think. Here the band speak to us about banana chips and 80s Goth dresses.
