Based in Brighton, her past work with bass/electronica producers has meant she's appeared on Radio 1, Xfm and 6music. She also joined Starkey and Reso in the “Build The Beat” challenge set by Mary Anne Hobbs to create a song from scratch in two hours on her BBC Radio 1 Show, live from the legendary Maida Vale studios. Dazed spoke to her now about her current endeavours and offer up the unique chance to use her new acapella for your own creative use in a remix competition. WHAT'S… ...your secret talent?Anneka: I'm ace at guessing Charades / club singing (as in Vic Reeves style). ...your worst vice?Anneka: Hoarding ... your favourite sound?Anneka: ‘clap’ hits which are made up of all sorts of jangly percussive sounds. ...your worst fashion secret?Anneka: Cotton nighties with cheesy animal motifs in winter. ...your favourite website?Anneka: I’ve been checking out http://www.booooooom.com daily recently. ...good for breakfast?Anneka: Chunky scrambled egg on toast with ketchup and mustard. ...the best thing about where you're from?Anneka: Struggling to find an answer, anyone who’s been to Watford will understand. ...at the top of your shit list?Anneka: Only having 24 hours in a day. ...are you listening to now?Anneka: The new Kuedo, Holy Other, The Weeknd and Laura Marling.
