Music / PlaylistDazed LIVE PlaylistIn anticipation of Dazed's first live event in April, we compile a playlist featuring some of the most exciting acts on the line-up including the likes of Gang Gang Dance, Black Devil Disco Club, Factory Floor and so many moreShareLink copied ✔️March 18, 2011MusicPlaylistTextRod Stanley Get the Flash Player to see this player. As of today, there are exactly TWENTY-THREE days to go until DAZED LIVE, which is a number so cosmically auspicious that we suggest you do little else today other than chant, realign your chakras, and blow your tiny minds with this Dazed Live Preview playlist. As you might be aware, we at Dazed have been rather busy for the last few months, gathering together our favourite masters of the musical arts for our inaugural freakout of art, music and ideas on April 9, and you can get a taster of what's on offer here. Headlining the main stage are mag faves Gang Gang Dance, who will be debuting tracks from their bonkersly brilliant new album 'Eye Contact' – if you haven't yet checked out their wigged-out 11-minute opener 'Glass Jar', then fire up the incense cone and start here. Support comes from Gallic cosmic disco legend Black Devil Disco Club (a proper, genuine legend), and you can check out a track from his new album here (featuring the Horrors' Faris). Soul-soaked semi-improv vibes come courtesy of the brilliant About Group, including a musical mix of members of Hot Chip, Spiritualized and This Heat, while white-hot newcomers Austra and Fiction will be sharing a stage with Arab Strap veteran Aidan Moffat. Over in the rave cave, Glasgow's Numbers crew come correct with Actress, Redinho and Deadboy, while the Greco-Roman party starters bring their buddy Caribou on guest deck duties. Yes, amazing. But enough chat, really – you should just start the music running and then head over to Dazedlive.com to find out how you can get to see all this lot (there's even a competition for free tickets), as well as inspiring talks from the worlds of fashion, art, technology and politics, including Google's creative whizkid Aaron Koblin, and 82-year-old cinematic auteur Alejandro Jodorowsky, who will be screening his cult psychedelic epic Holy Mountain in an east London church. Declare independence! Rod Stanley, editor Dazed Live is on Saturday April 9, 2011. The festival takes place in and around Shoreditch and is presented in parthership with Levi's and Absolut Vodka.
