To celebrate the opening of two new stores on Wednesday,
Uniqlo threw a party the previous night in their new flagship at 311 Oxford Street. The interior of the three-storey, 25,000 square foot space was designed by Masamichi Katayama, founder of the Tokyo firm
Wonderwall, who has also worked with everyone from Bathing Ape and Marc Jacobs to the BBC. Inhaling platters of champagn, sushi and sake, the Dazed crew were out in force to see the styling work of our own Nicola Formichetti, who, as Uniqlo's global stylist, works on all their campaigns and has brought quite of his friends - starting with Bobbie Gillespie and Katy England - on board as models. DJ sets and live performances came from Daisy Lowe, People Are Germs, Kid Harpoon, Florence and the Machine, and Jerry Bouthier of Boombox.
