The photo shows actors Fionn Whitehead, who was already rumoured to be in the cast, Will Poulter, who won the BAFTA Rising Star Award for his role in “We’re The Millers” and Asim Chaudhry, the actor and comedian who plays Chabuddy G in BBC Three’s People Just Do Nothing, the show about West London pirate radio station Kurupt FM. Exactly what roles they’ll be taking on is unclear, but we should find out soon as the edition of Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones’s anthology series is expected this week. Netflix has even set up a “Bandersnatch” page, confirming rumours that the release is a film, at 90 minutes long. “Be right back,” the page spookily reads. The holding page for Black Mirror’s upcoming “Bandersnatch” episode.Netflix The feature-length instalment is expected to appear on Netflix on December 28 after intense investigation from fans and rumours that the episode will be in a ‘choose your own adventure’ format. Backing this up is a post from the Korean Media Ratings Board showing the upcoming episode will have a 312 minutes-long running time, which is just over five hours. Fans say this would accommodate multiple scenarios that viewers choose themselves. However, if the holding page for the episode is anything to go by, the total running time is less, at just an hour and a half. Fans also unearthed an old game called “Bandersnatch”, which was in production in 1984 but never released. They say the existence of the game, as well as photos from the Black Mirror set that feature shops remodelled as if in 1984, confirm an early-80s and game-themed setting. While it’s exciting to be fed dribs and drabs of information from the streaming platform about the upcoming episode, we’re done with the teasing now. Bring on “Bandersnatch”.
