For Peter Copping, it means a lot of ruffles, frills, gathered sheerness, all dipped in a palette that went from demure whites and creams to a build up of hot jewel tones that are also in keeping with the season. An interlude of watercolour florals which were delicately matched with a slip dress and a gathered sheer top came courtesy of Marc Lalique. The Nina Ricci femme bathing in florals and feathers though was tempered with looks such as an Edwardian style high-necked white dress reconfigured into a cocktail number that was paired with a sleek trenchcoat. Delicate wide swathes of chantilly lace criss-crossed across in skirts that drew graphic lines across the body. Still the overall emphasis was on a sense of ladylike glamour that Copping has been investigating for the past few seasons and this was impacted through the final series of frocks that ruffled and gathered around the body in the brightest shade of raspberry and yellow.
