Illustrator Sam Gilbey teams up with the shoe brand to create a manga series for the new California collection

Art director and designer Sam Gilbey has over a decade of experience in interactive and graphic design. His unique illustrations have appeared in numerous publications, both on and offline all over the globe, in several books, exhibitions, comics, television and in a movie test shoot. He's worked on several award-winning projects, which have included receiving recognition at the British Interactive Media Association, and his work has also been featured in the Creative Review annual.
Onitsuka Tiger’s California ’78 collection for Autumn/Winter 2010. Onitsuka Tiger has commissioned the award winning illustrator Sam Gilbey to create an amazing piece of online content featuring a Manga animation which captures the heritage of Onitsuka Tiger and the inspiration behind the nicheCalifornia ’78 collection.
