As an art director, 0044's S. Shimamura directs collections as well as the concept and the interior design of all 0044 stores. The atelier was established well over ten years ago in Paris and ever since most of our clothes have been designed and manufactured in France. For their Autumn/Winter '10 collection, 0044 Paris continues to trace its roots, and present a more mature collection with Charleston style silk satin raffled dresses, shirt-collared draped dresses in viscose or padded silk muslin contrasted with gathered over-sized sleeves… using soft and delicate fabrics, the 0044 Women collection focuses on sensuality and femininity. The menswear collection retains a streetwear spirit but with fluid volumes and light silhouettes; A hooded blouson is adorned with leather sleeves, sarouel trousers for example are reinvented with heavy and hard fabrics like coated denim, and there is also the dandy spirit in some of pieces, like Chesterfield coat or Spencer “inspired” jacket.
