Be it Mickey Mouse, Marie Antoinette or in this season's case, the Flintstones, he will take that theme and run away with it, by usually finding one or two core prints and plastering it everywhere. So this season, we have the jagged print that's a simplified version of Fred Flintstone's animal print robe made into jagged edged dresses, bathing suits, short-shorts and jagged edged leather jackets (continuation of his collaboration with Schott) that probably a teenage Bamm Bamm and Pebbles might wear as a hot pre-historic cartoon couple. Dazed Digital: How did the Flintstones thing come about?Jeremy Scott: I don't know - maybe it was just a continuation to last season, or a reaction to last season. I'm not sure. The design inspiration each time comes and I really don't know where it comes from. I was just thinking of how we would wear things if we were in the Flintstones, how would Lady Gaga dress if she was in the Flintstones.DD: Why Lady Gaga?Jeremy Scott: Because I dress her and I work with her all the time and she's a friend. She's a huge icon right now. All these reasons really. So thinking of how we would wear things in the Flintstones, for example jeans would have to be jagged and basically all things are blended in with the Flintstones.DD: Who's your favourite character?Jeremy Scott: Probably Bamm Bamm!DD: The leather jackets were really great. How did the collaboration with Schott happen? Jeremy Scott: We accidentally met at an event and Jason Schott who runs the company now came up to me about a jacket I was wearing, which was wearing and we've collaborated with them for three seasons now. I'm so proud of these jackets! The company is such a great one to work with. They have the quality of the original Perfecto jackets too which I think is great. You know, it's the original Marlon Brando jacket, so again, it's about what would Marlon Brando wear if he was in the Flintstones.DD: How does showing in London compare to Paris?Jeremy Scott: I really can't tell the difference! I could be any where in a way - Same models, same editors. The only thing I can say is that there's more vegetarian restaurants here so I can eat better. I love London so hopefully I'll be able to spend a little more time here. Escape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday.
