For Pugh's first presentation in New York Fashion Week, the public will be allowed to attend the screening of his second film, directed by Ruth Hogben.
As part of the M.A.C. and Milk Studios collaboration this season that means a huge chunk of the New York Fashion Week schedule is concentrated in the Meatpacking District, Gareth Pugh will be stepping up to present his second film, directed by Ruth Hogen, for his S/S 10 collection.
"When M·A·C invited me to be part of their New York Fashion Week plans, I thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to make a new fashion film... It will hopefully set the mood for my catwalk show which will take place as usual in Paris. It will represent the essence of what the show this season is about, although it couldn't be further from a trailer, it's more of an abstract insight." explains Pugh about his decision to show his film in New York and in addition, put on a catwalk show in Paris at the Palais de Tokyo.
In an unusual move, Pugh will also be opening up his film presentation to the public, including design students. Fashion week guests will attend a private viewing at 8pm-10pm and the public will be able to attend from 10pm to midnight. Any Gareth Pugh fans in New York, can join M.A.C.'s Facebook page and they will be sent details by September 10.
