Offering up its own version, Ralph Lauren has today released a Pride-themed collection featuring a cast of LGBTQ+ faces. Shot by Cass Bird – who stars alongside her wife Ali and children Mae and Leo – the line-up also features model Jacob Bixenman, Olympian Gus Kenworthy, ballet dancer Harper Watters, and Evrisha, Tyriq, and Cory from queer youth group Hetrick-Martin Institute. “The LGBTQ+ community has such a variety of people and personalities combined into one family and it’s beautiful that we’re becoming more understood by the day for huge brands like Ralph Lauren,” the trio tells us. The collection itself features rainbow-coloured logo hoodies and tees, with 50 per cent of 100 per cent of the former and 100 per cent of the latter going to Stonewall Community Foundation, an organisation that supports the LGBTQ+ community in the US. Beyond buying into the collection, you too can offer your support whether or not you’re part of the community or just an ally. “Uplifting one another, or sharing a gig with someone, or even helping someone get a job, is all part of the support,” the young activists’ muse. “If one person grows we all grow. And if one person eats we all eat. That’s how we support the community.” Escape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday.
