Directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, McQueen looks at the previously unseen personal moments of McQueen’s life via home video footage shot by friends and family (read more about how they created the film here). To celebrate the release, we’ve delved into the Dazed archive and picked out some of the designer’s best moments. From a carnival-esque harlequin dress accessorised with devil horns taken from the pages of the October 2009 issue, to the Gothic, puff-sleeved gown as seen in 2007, and the medieval armour that covered the model's head – an avant-garde version of the humble balaclava – in November 2009, McQueen always knew how to push the boundaries of fashion. There are far too many iconic looks to talk about when it comes to our selection, so instead we'll let the images speak for themselves. Take a look at the gallery above.
