But today, it received a new addition – a beautiful butterfly ring – from no other than our fave Queen B. That’s right, Beyoncé has started gifting items from her own personal collection. Us next, please. The ring in question appeared in a series of intimate pictures that the rapper Jay-Z took back in 2014, so where better for it to live – other than on B’s finger – than in a museum? Designed by London-based jeweller Glenn Spiro, the butterfly-shaped ring is decorated with two of the most precious stones – green tsavorites and diamonds – and is estimated at around £70k. “Beyoncé is a figure whose personal style the V&A is proud to represent, and a gift from whose personal collection we are honoured to receive,” said jewellery curator Clare Phillips. “The Papillon ring she has gifted is an exquisite example of contemporary jewellery design by one of Britain’s master jewellers.” The ring is now on display in the William and Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery at the V&A.
