But it’s also famed for its faces – model muses and brand ambassadors selected by designer Karl Lagerfeld to represent his world. A gang of those were out in force in Paris today at Chanel’s Métiers d’Art show at The Ritz, just a few minutes from its famed Rue Cambon store. They didn’t just watch the show, however – this time they walked in it. Face of eyewear and Chanel No.5 L’Eau Lily Rose Depp made her way around the hotel tables twice – in a gold sequinned two-piece and then a black dress – while musician Pharrell wore jeans, pearls and a navy coat. Then there was Alice Dellal, Lottie Moss, Sofia Richie, Georgia May Jagger and Lagerfeld’s young godson Hudson, now a seasoned Chanel catwalk veteran. Lagerfeld’s favourite models were also there, with Cara Delevingne opening the show. As for the collection, dubbed #ParisCosmopolite, it featured power shoulders, over-the-knee boots, and even a take on the puffa jacket.
