As part of the collaboration between Levi’s and the V&A’s You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966–1970 exhibition, Skepta performed at the museum on Tuesday night and will be partnering with the iconic denim brand as part of the Levi’s Music Project. Skepta’s involvement will kick off with a music space set-up in his local community centre in Tottenham, providing young people living locally with an insight into all aspects of the music industry, and advice from Skepta and other industry experts. Following this, a performance will be put together for the V&A event. As an area that Skepta grew up in and which heavily influences his work, he said, “I feel blessed to be the guy that is, with Levi’s, giving back to the community and making this whole thing happen for the youth.” The wider project has been created to give young people access to music education and inspire the next generation of musical minds. Speaking about this, the MC expressed how “the Levi’s Music project is game-changing.
