Captured by acclaimed photographer Glen Luchford once more, the ad depicts a cluttered scene of wild plants, old books and patterned rugs, reflecting the house’s vintage-inspired new look. This time, Luchford captures the birds alongside a cast of fresh-faced models including new faces Nicole Atieno and Polina Oganicheva (both of whom you may remember from the house’s SS16 campaign) inside a glass-domed tropical aviary – a fitting setting given Michele’s repeated reference to animals and plants. While the backdrop may contain antiques, Michele’s vision is a modern one – something reflected in the house’s AW16 womenswear show which combined the old and the new, such as Snoopy prints, teddy bear graphics and pieces spray-painted by graffiti artist GucciGhost (aka Trouble Andrew).
