He’s able to call Raf Simons a long-time collaborator and Christian Dior, Prada, Givenchy and Dior Homme clients. The photographer shot the cover for the Spring/Summer 2014 issue of Dazed and multiple for AnOther and AnOther Man. Now, he’s released a long overdue photobook (out today) in collaboration with IDEA Books. The tome’s name – 635 – refers to the number of images the photographer has posted via his Instagram account, all of which have been published in this book. Like Instagram, these images are square (or with a white frame) and arranged in groups of three across its 220 pages. This format successfully translates the immediacy of the social media app into print. Immediate too, was the production of the book, which was edited, designed and printed in just ten days. “I thought it was incredibly modern, and so now, a perfect reflection of our time,” he explained to AnOther. I found the whole experience very liberating and fun, because there was absolutely no time to scrutinise over the placement of images, or adjust things, and go back and forth to the printers. It was all highly spontaneous. I hope everyone likes it as much as I do.” An excerpt from 635Willy Vanderperre, 635, 2015 © Willy VanderperreExpand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREHaider Ackermann throws it down with Willie Nelson for Canada GooseBrontez Purnell on the rise of Telfar Clemens BacardiCalling photographers: We want to see your dancefloorsWill nostalgia be the defining aesthetic of the 2020s?In pictures: Vivienne Westwood’s jewellery archive has found a new homeThe hottest girls you know are dressing like The NutcrackerThis new book delves into the 150-year history of Louis VuittonIn pictures: Jean Paul Gaultier’s rarely seen runway archive‘Haunted and horny’: Joseph Quinn and Luna Carmoon on Versace’s new eraMeet the fresh talent being honoured at the 2025 Fashion AwardsOlivier Rousteing steps down from Balmain In pictures: Revisiting Anok Yai’s greatest style moments
