Opening in October at the Saatchi Gallery in London, Mademoiselle Privé will trace Chanel’s illustrious history – from Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s original vision to Karl Lagerfeld's present-day interpretations of it. This exhibition, which runs from October 13-November 1 will take over three floors of the Chelsea Gallery. It will showcase the skills of the house’s world-famous ateliers, as well as the “Bijoux de Diamants” jewellery collection which was originally created in 1932 but reissued at its casino-themed show earlier this month. Just this year the first retrospective of Karl Lagerfeld, the Chanel’s creative director of 30 years, opened in the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn, Germany. This exhibition, which is open until September, was curated by Lagerfeld’s longtime muse and friend Lady Amanda Harlech and featured many of Lagerfeld’s iconic designs for the brand.
