Photography David SimsFashion / NewsGet the first look at the new McQueen campaignIntroducing the new faces encapsulating Sarah Burton’s English rose inspired visionShareLink copied ✔️July 7, 2015FashionNewsTextTed StansfieldAlexander McQueen AW15 campaign In the past Alexander McQueen has chosen well-established models like Kate Moss to front its advertising campaigns, but for AW15 the brand has enlisted three new faces – Julia van Os and Jamilla Hoogenboom who hail from the Netherlands, and British up-and-comer Ruth Bell. “Nature, fragility and beauty” are the words Sarah Burton used to describe her AW15 collection which, with its rosy hues of red and pink, filigree lace, floral patterns and petal-like ruffles of organza, explored the idea of the English rose. Though ethereal and feminine, it carried a sense of dark romanticism and Victorian gothicism too. Both classic traits of the late Lee McQueen's creative vision, this was something reflected in the David Sims shot campaign – not only in the roses the models hold but in the girls themselves, all of whom embody an offbeat femininity.
