FashionNewsCara Delevingne and Pharrell perform at Chanel Métiers d’ArtHer post-modelling career is off to a singing start with the first live performance of ‘CC The World’ShareLink copied ✔️April 1, 2015FashionNewsTextZing Tsjeng You'd be forgiven for thinking the Chanel show last night at the Armory in New York looked familiar; in fact, it's a retread of the folklore-themed Metiers d’Arts collection, which debuted in Salzburg in December. But what was definitely not included in last year's couture presentation was Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams performing their song "CC The World", which was recorded for Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel film Reincarnation. It's the first time that Pharrell and Delevingne have performed the song live. The Happy musician wrote the song especially at Lagerfeld's request, and approached Delevingne for the track's starring role. In an Instagram post, Williams wrote: "CC the World. Proud of you @caradelevingne". Watch some footage of the performance below. Given that Delevingne was performing in front of a crowd that included Patti Smith and Beyoncé, we think she acquitted herself pretty well. We'll upload more video as soon as we get them in: Backstage at the show, Delevingne also previewed her latest Chanel campaign, shot by Lagerfeld and styled by Carine Roitfeld.
