FashionNewsAre you ready for the first Fendi couture show?Karl Lagerfeld will stage a fur couture show in JulyShareLink copied ✔️February 27, 2015FashionNewsTextZing TsjengPhotographyLea ColomboFendi AW15 Fendi has announced its first ever haute couture show, and Karl Lagerfeld is going fur crazy for it. Titled Haute Fourrure, the collection draws on Fendi's long and illustrious history in fur craftsmanship and will be presented during Paris Couture Week in July. “For me, fur is Fendi and Fendi is fur, fun furs! Fendi is my Italian version of creativity," Lagerfeld said. "The Fendi Haute Fourrure fashion show is the opportunity to stage the Royal Furs of Furs." Alongside the Chanel show, that means that Karl is heading up not one, but two couture collections this summer. It also marks his 50th anniversary designing furs and ready-to-wear for Fendi. Lagerfeld clearly isn't lacking in ideas when it comes to fur. He's already sprinkled an extravagant number of fuzzy tchotchkes through his most recent AW15 collection for Fendi, including an updated version of those AW14 Karlito bag bugs. This season, he's turned the fluffy charms into extravagant furry pom poms personalised with initials. Fendi is also the only luxury with its own in-house fur atelier, with 40 full-time artisans who boast more than 600 accumulated years of experience between them. That's a lot of floor-length pelts and fluffy fur balls. Liked this?
