According to court documents spotted by a New York blog called A Walk In The Park, the state alleges that Damrosch Park, adjacent to the Lincoln Center, has been damaged by the presence of the fashion industry and must be restored. NYFW has been held at the Lincoln Center since 2010 and blocks off full usage of the public park throughout the year. In September of 2015, all shows previously held there must find a new home. A spokesperson for IMG said in an email to Hollywood Reporter: "Lincoln Center has been a great home for the past five years and we look forward to another world-class season this February. However, as the fashion industry continues to evolve, IMG has been actively looking for a new home for NYFW that gives our designers and partners the best possible environment to share their creative visions. We look forward to sharing more details on our new home soon". There's no word on where NYFW is headed to next, but organisers are said to be looking to next year as an opportunity for reinvention and a chance to move forward. Escape the algorithm!
