During Louise Alsop's show, the crowd gasped as a loud bang punctured the atmosphere. According to Topshop, the man fell through the corrugated, moss-covered roof at the top of the building after walking on it and is now en route to hospital in an ambulance. "He fell in an area backstage that wasn't very easy to get to," said a Topshop spokesperson. "There have been a few comments batting round saying 'Why wasn't the show stopped', but as soon as we realised something had happened our production and security teams were dealing with it as soon as possible." The topshop show space roof has collapsed during a show and I guy fell through yet the show still continues WTF... http://t.co/5FK1UjM8eR— Emily Louise Golding (@beautybyemilyuk) September 16, 2014 The atmosphere during Alsop's show was largely unaffected, owing to the fact that nobody really knew what had happened. "At first we thought it was just one of the old slates that had fallen through," said the Topshop spokesperson. "I think it was only the block closest to the backstage that thought it might have been something else." Topshop told Dazed that it's looking into why the worker was there and could not comment on the severity of his injuries, but was adamant that the medical team's reaction was as swift as possible. Ex-member of The Fall and esteemed fashion commentator Brix Smith Start took to Twitter to express her upset over the incident.
