Fashion / IncomingCreatures of the Wind S/S12Bright mismatched colours and fabrics were cleverly combined to form wearable pieces in the new collection by the covetable brandShareLink copied ✔️September 13, 2011FashionIncomingText Chantelle Symester Creatures of the Wind S/S12 US-based label Creatures Of The Wind used experimental filmmaker, Kenneth Anger’s work, ‘Puce Moment’, as the creative seed for its S/S12 collection. Each look transforms into a contemporary head-to-toe interpretation of Anger’s work, with styling duties carried out by Dazed & Confused's very own Emma Wyman. Themes of a 'descent into madness' and the 'dissolving of reality' present in ‘Puce Moment’ are represented in the mixing of colours, textures and fabrics such as raw lace over Day-Glo silk and the deconstructed tailored detailing and finishes. Psychedelic and mystical influences are worked into the collection through the tie-dyed silks, metallic lace and colourful plaids of the fabrications which adds an overall quirky femininity. The silhouette is finished off with headpieces that are kind of reminiscent of a third eye and act as a hybrid tiara, headband and sunglasses. Each headpiece, created in collaboration with Erickson Beamon, and footwear created by K.Jaques, in special colour options completes the looks.
