The iconic Parisian boutique colette and luxe car brand Aston Martin team up on their new collaborative city car limited to 14 bespoke models

Teaming up with Aston Martin, the brains behind luxury Parisian boutique colette have created a limited edition ʻCygnet & coletteʼ city car. Commissioned by colette and hand-crafted by Aston Martin Works Tailored, the model will be strictly limited to 14 bespoke samples. To celebrate the collaboration, the ʻCygnet & coletteʼ city car will be hand-crafted via the companyʼs personalisation service to offer limitless options, catered precisely to each customer’s specification. The car will feature "lightning Silver paint with exclusive colette blue styling details including a race collection inspired front bumper and bonnet livery, mirror caps and diamond turned road wheels. Whilst the Bitter Chocolate themed interior takes inspiration from coletteʼs mascot Oscar, the chocolate-brown Labrador."
As the first of the exclusive ʻCygnet &ʼ collaborations, this bespoke Cygnet is an expression of coletteʼs style and comes with a selection of goodies including a Wallpaper* Paris guide, a custom Sigg bottle and the latest colette compilation CDs. We speak to Sarah of colette about the inspirations behind the designs and her perfect roadtrip...
Dazed Digital: How did the collaboration with Aston Martin come about and what inspired the design?
Sarah Andelman: Aston Martin came to introduce to us the Cygnet, and we immediately thought together a colette version could be the best way to show the multiple options to customise this great car for a city like Paris.
DD: What key elements do you think represents the colette aesthetic for it?
Sarah Andelman: The blue wheels, the dots outside, the blue stitching and our room spray 'Air de colette' coming with the car!
DD: What up and coming projects can we look forward to from colette?
Sarah Andelman: Oh, so many exciting projects always! In our gallery, September and October shows will be Friends with You and then Terry Richardson!
DD: The colette boutique has become a brand in itself, synonymous with luxury, modernity and cool - how do you manage to keep things fresh, new and exciting?
Sarah Andelman: First, we don't try to be a brand. We're just always curious about new and fresh stuff ourselves so maybe the shop reflects this.
DD: Do you think you'll ever open more colette stores in the future?
Sarah Andelman: No, we prefer to focus. But we can do some pop-up shops worldwide sometimes...
DD: If you were to take a roadtrip in the new colette Cygnet where would you go and why?
Sarah Andelman: We could go to île Saint-Louis for some Berthillon ice creams and a beautiful view!
Orders for the 14 ʻCygnet & coletteʼ pieces can be placed through the colette store in Paris for delivery by the end of the year. Prices start from €48,995.
