Designed to complement Dr. Martens' iconic look, the new clothing line for fans of their signature boots and shoes retains their unique silhouettes and distinct contemporary style. Inspired by Dr. Martens' extensive footwear heritage and focusing on the ideals of British workwear, Dr. Martens' first line for S/S11 features both men’s and women’s clothing and accessories such as chambray and gingham shirts, printed and striped tees for men, alongside a cardigan with set off with a shawl collar. The womenswear pieces include four shirtdresses as longline versions of men’s shirts. In addition to their key pieces, the collection features a Grey Marl Sweatdress with cap sleeves, as well as tees and tee dresses in striped, or muted colour combinations.
