Dazed & Confused today announce the next round of additions to the line up for their first live festival, taking place in east London on Saturday 9 April. The event brings together an array of stimulating artists, thinkers and advocates from the Dazed cultural sphere for a day of inspiration, rebellion and dancing. At the heart of the festival is a series of talks by guest speakers, and galvanizing under-35 creatives in the ‘Dazed Lab’, aiming to bring the DIY ethos of Dazed & Confused to life, and to illustrate it within the context of a digital age.
Dazed Live is welcoming digital media artist Aaron Koblin, whose prolific artistic output using data and digital technologies has been exhibited around the world earning critical acclaim, and is now the Creative Director of the Data Arts Team in Google’s Creative Lab. He is joined by American author Daniel Pinchbeck, an icon of New York counter culture and figurehead for what shamanic consciousness can teach us.
Throughout the day, Shoreditch will play host to Dazed Live exhibitions and talks - highlights include a conversation with artist Jamie Shovlin and author Ned Beauman on 'Art & Literature: Faking the Past, the Present, the Future’, an exhibition by design collective Hudson-Powell, and an exclusive Levi’s Craft of Music showcase featuring Aidan Moffat, Fiction and Austra. Dazed Live by night ushers in a series of exclusive live performances and DJ sets, including the already announced Gang Gang Dance, Darkstar, Factory Floor and Black Devil Disco Club.
