The book – which was described as a “vastly layered, wide-ranging history” of the cult show – acts as a (very vague) sequel to the original series, helping fans to fill in the gaps of the last 26 years. Fortunately, for those of you who have yet to pick up a copy, there is now a chance to sample a 16-minute audio version of the novel. Pulled from the full ten-hour recording, the preview delves into the past of the widowed Josie Packard: one of the key characters from the series. The entire audio book is available to buy now, and features the voices of original cast members Michael Horse (Deputy Hawk), Russ Tamblyn (Dr. Lawrence Jacoby), and Kyle MacLachlan (FBI Agent Dale Cooper). It comes just ahead of the third season, which is set to premiere on Showtime in “early to mid” 2017.
