Earlier today, Sky Ferriera revealed that she is starring on the cover of the magazine’s October issue in a photo posted to Instagram. And yet her involvement in this issue far surpasses pulling some provocative poses: she’s produced and directed the whole thing. “Hi. I am on the cover of Playboy (October 2016),” Ferreira wrote via Instagram. “I am the first bunny ever to be a creative collaborator & creative/art direct. I produced & directed all of the content. It is the first introduction to #Masochism (visually). My best friend @sandycandykim shot the photos & Bruce Dern did the interview. I will get much more into detail about the project & all of the people involved tomorrow when I unveil the covers!” In starring on the cover of Playboy, Ferreira follows in the footsteps of fellow musicians Dolly Parton, Madonna, LaToya Jackson, Mariah Carey and Azealia Banks among others. And this isn’t the only magazine she’s posed for recently – earlier this year she starred on the cover of Dazed’s spring 2016 issue, photographed by Collier Schorr. Head here to see the full story.
