Arts+CultureNewsWatch Lily-Rose Depp in the first trailer for PlanetariumThe ghostly thriller, which also stars Natalie Portman, tells the story of two American mediums in ParisShareLink copied ✔️August 25, 2016Arts+CultureNewsTextDominique Sisley We’ve not seen much of Lily-Rose Depp’s acting yet. Other than a brief cameo in the Kevin Smith-directed Tusk, the majority of her films are still waiting on an official release date. There’s a 19th-century biopic called The Dancer, which sees the actress cut a rug with French singer Soko. There’s also the critically panned Tusk sequel, Yoga Hosers, where she takes on an army of “little Nazis made out of bratwursts” (the film has been described by Smith as “Clueless meets Gremlins”). Planetarium, however, is probably the most heavily-hyped of all of them. Directed by Rebecca Zlotowski, the ghostly French thriller stars Depp and Natalie Portman as two American mediums in 1930s Paris. After coming to the end of their world tour, they cross paths with “a visionary French producer”, who offers to capture their talents on film. From the looks of the trailer, it all goes to shit from there. The film is getting its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this year, with no release dates currently set.
