The Lifetime movie – which is a revamp of the 1996 cult classic – sees the actor-slash-director completely reimagine the campy plot; swapping axe-wielding psychopath boyfriends for lesbian vampires. “I said yes (to directing the film), as long as I could change it a bit,” Franco told TV critics recently. “It has some similar elements of the original but it's completely revamped… You'll have a very non-Lifetime movie on Lifetime.” From what we can see in the trailer, the film will follow the unfolding relationship between drama student Leah (played by Leila George) and mysterious vampire Pearl (Emily Meade). Tori Spelling, who starred in the original movie, will also be returning as Leah’s mother. See below: 'Mother May I Sleep With Danger?'
