In April, we reported that the Drive star was in talks to appear in the follow-up to Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi classic, which will be directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario) and shot by cinematographer Roger Deakins (Fargo, Skyfall). Now Gosling has confirmed his involvement in the project during an interview with Collider. “That’s true,” he said when asked if he would appear in the movie. “(…)it’s exciting. And if I say any more there’s a chip in me that will explode if I say anything else.” Scott was initially attached to direct the film, but will now take a back seat as producer, with original star Harrison Ford tipped to make an appearance in the story’s “third act”.
