According to reports in the Metro, the culprit, known only as 'Jay', has been leaving small packages of weed in various spots around the city, along with business cards for maximum convenience. They read “Call Jay 24/7”, and come with his number and a little picture of a motorbike, which is quite sweet. Currently, the packages are mostly being left on street corners or at house parties in student areas – particularly around Manchester's southern university campuses. “It’s outrageous,” one local shared. “People are just targeting the students. I suppose it’s free business and there’s a lot of money to be made with thousands of students on their doorstep. Drug dealing has been going on in Fallowfield for years, but the brazenness and the business cards are a new thing.” Police are currently investigating the cards, so it's probably not the most sustainable plan. However, if you're interested, feel free to head to Fallowfield and Levenshulme to have a little lurk before it's too late. Escape the algorithm!
