Arts+Culture / NewsWatch Cara Delevingne do battle with news anchorsWhile promoting Paper Towns, the model-turned-actress was confronted with the most ignorant line of questioning we've ever seenShareLink copied ✔️July 28, 2015Arts+CultureNewsText Stephen Earle While promoting her new film Paper Towns, an adaptation of John Green’s revered young adult novel, Cara Delevingne did battle with three ill-informed presenters on local news show Good Day Sacramento. Granted, Good Day Sacramento isn’t exactly Letterman, but this is the internet, and awkward interviews travel fast. It got off to a terrible start with the news team opening the interview by calling her "Carla". The interviewers then proceeded to ask her the most insipid and vacuous questions in the most patronising way possible. Her sardonic comebacks, wit and irreverence showed that she is not going to play dumb for Mid America, which we applaud. We think Good Day Sacramento should be shamed for their insulting, patronising lack of professionalism, and worse, their attempt at the end to discredit her with tiredness rather than looking at themselves and the quality of their journalism.
