Jones has chronicled her time spent at Studio 54, modelling with Jerry Hall, collaborating with Andy Warhol, acting with Arnold Schwarzenegger and the impact that she has had across mainstream art forms. This isn’t the first time she’s let the public into her past life; in March it was announced that the BBC will be making a documentary about her, directed by Sophie Fiennes, the woman behind the critically acclaimed 2012 Slavoj Žižek documentary, The Pervert's Guide to Ideology. Jones is now 66 and can reflect on a career spent as a cultural trailblazer, an artist who inspired radical change in both fashion and music. The Jamaican-born auteur has had a memoir-worthy life, arriving in America in her teens, modelling at 17, before switching to music and then acting. Basically, she’s probably done more than you or I. I'll Never Write My Memoirs hits shops on September 29.
