Arts+CultureNewsCNN confuses dildos with Isis at London Pride‘If you look at the flag closely, it’s clearly not Arabic.’ No, you’re right about that – it’s obviously loads of sex toysShareLink copied ✔️June 29, 2015Arts+CultureNewsTextThomas Gorton We've all been there. You spot a dildo flag in the middle of a gay pride celebration, mistake it for the world's most notorious terrorist organisation and 'break the news'. CNN reporter Lucy Pawle thought she had quite the scoop - did Isis have a presence at London Pride? Well, no. One reveller brought along their own banner to mark the occasion; a black-and-white number in the style of the Isis flag, except with one major difference – it had dildos instead of Arabic lettering on it. You don't even need to be eagle-eyed to recognise that it's a flag jam-packed with sex toys – it's literally a case of just looking at it. Despite it being London Pride (dildo flags are probably ten a penny), CNN ran with the story that Isis might have infiltrated the LGBT celebration. "If you look at the flag closely, it's clearly not Arabic, in fact it looks like it could be gobbledygook," said CNN's Lucy Pawle. "I seem to be the only person who's spotted this," she continued. "And nobody seems to be raising any questions." Watch the very serious report on a very silly flag below.
