Arts+Culture / NewsWhat would you do if Shia LaBeouf was on your balcony? This parody video takes the LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner’s motivational speech and turns it into something way more scaryShareLink copied ✔️June 1, 2015Arts+CultureNewsText Helena Horton If Shia LaBeouf was on our balcony screaming we'd probably call the police too. "Damn It Shia" is a YouTube video that features a superimposed, screaming Shia trespassing on someone's property, using footage from #INTRODUCTIONS, a project created by LaBeouf, Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner. The motivational speech performed by LaBeouf has been described by commentators as "terrifying", "intense" and "Jesus fucking Christ". Watch "Damn It Shia" below and get a feel for what it may be like if the actor turned up at your house to shout at you for no reason. Also if you like the idea of remixing the speech, the artists have made the file available as a creative commons video. LaBeouf made the original speech as one of short segments he filmed for fine art students at Central St Martins, in collaboration with Rönkkö and Turner, a project we announced exclusively. He didn’t write the motivational speech himself – students were invited to submit pieces of text no more than 100 words for him to read. The project is called #INTRODUCTIONS – watch the whole thing below and see another mashup featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme here. Escape the algorithm!
