Arts+CultureNewsAzealia Banks: ‘White boys do eat pussy better’‘Maybe it’s those thin white-boy lips!’ShareLink copied ✔️November 14, 2014Arts+CultureNewsTextZing Tsjeng Azealia Banks is better known for mouthing off about other rappers and feuding with musicians (just yesterday she said that she wanted to punch "the ugly one" from Disclosure), but it turns out she's a lover as well as a fighter. In an interview with Dazed on her new album, Broke With Expensive Taste, the Harlem rapper said that she'd love to relocate to the UK – as long as there was a dude worth staying for. "I’d like to move to London, but I’d have to find a British man first," she told us. "Stiff upper lip? Yeah, and you know what that’s good for, right?" "White boys do eat pussy better than everyone else, though, I will say that. Maybe it’s those thin white-boy lips!" Oh Azealia, jokes or not, we love you. It might have taken three years and a protracted struggle with her label for BWET to come out, but you're definitely making that promo tour work for you. Banks also cleared the air regarding a particularly divisive track on the album, "JFK". In an earlier tweet, she said that the song was "about a certain pop star who likes to steal my ideas and pretend they were her own". Given her history with Lady Gaga (she previously accused Gaga of stealing a song called "Red Flame" from her), most people assumed that Banks was ragging on the singer again. "It’s not about Lady Gaga!" she explained. "Actually, it is talking about someone specific. But it’s not Lady Gaga, I promise you. Her little fanbase, they’re crazy. They want everything to be about Lady Gaga. But it’s not about fucking Lady Gaga. I’m sorry, honey." She added: "And to be honest it’s like... Trust me, I don’t even know what she be up to. You only hear about her when she’s dressing up or she’s doing some crazy shit or whatever. I exist in like cool, artful, hipster world; I’m in this hipster snob world where people don’t listen to Lady Gaga." Read our full interview with Azealia Banks here.
