First there was #Bendgate, when iPhone 6 users complained that their new toy was bending in their skinny jeans pockets. Now the latest problem to afflict Apple fans is #Hairgate – when the hair on your beard (or head) gets yanked out by your phone. Seriously.

You know you've hit "peak beard" when even your new smartphone hates your facial hair.

A post on the 9to5Mac forum goes into the problem in greater detail: "Initially I thought it was the hair sticking to the screen protector. But upon closer inspection, it was the seam between the glass and aluminium – hair gets stuck and when you try to free it out, it hurts."

One man was so concerned that he's even made a video to demonstrate the iPhone 6's hair-pulling capabilities:

We have a controversial solution to both #Hairgate and #Bendgate: shave all the hair off your head and never wear trousers again. Failing that, just don't buy a phone that costs over £500 without checking to see if it's compatible with your basic existence as a human being.
