The gold star for effort and execution goes to the photographer Akio for enthusiastically submitting a 24 page portfolio entitled "Dalston Gets Confused". Ok, so Akio is actually 18 years + couple of hundred months old. Not that something as trivial as age was going to stop him from going to Dalston's Ridley Road market, taking the Dazed & Confused logo with him and shooting the residents and workers in the area as a Dazed cover. "Thanks a lot for taking my love letter seriously, I am super glad!!!" says Akio. No Akio, thank you. What made you decide to participate by doing this shoot despite the fact it was supposd to be a teen takeover project?I didn't think of myself as a 37 year old graphic designer living with my mom but just 18 years + couple of hundred months old, therefore it was less strange to join this amazing project! Why does Dalston need to be confused?I feel that things from the real world always seem confused by others.Did anybody refuse to take part in your shoot? No, and almost all of them asked me if they could pop into the frame. So 80% of the people in the images joined in the shoot by themselves. What is your favourite kind of meat?Any kind but have never tried the one called "human"...yet?Did the people in your pictures understand or know what Dazed & Confused was?Nope! Thats why I thought they were so "Dazed and Confused"!!
