Originally from Iowa, Michael Schmelling now lives in New York where he got into street photogrpahy and moved on from there. His book Shut Up Truth published in 2002 featuring a guy called James Holloway who Schmelling met on the set of a Bruce Willis B-movie called Last Man Standing. He has photographed for many publications such as Fader, New York Magazine and Details.
