In attempts to delve into his haunting electronica, the London-based producer talks zebra print caps and alter egos to Dazed...WHAT'S…...so special about you, then?Lots fam....your worst vice?Being way way way over critical.…the story behind your name?It started of as this impossible idea, probably reading a bit too much Lacan to be honest, this idea that I might become fuller, or a darker more intense shade of myself when making music, like I might be able to see my full reflection when making music, find out more about myself, but it's like a dog chasing it's tail, dizzying, so now Becoming Real just means lots of different things, these things seem to be more external than internal these days. ...the world coming to?I don't know, just live in the world, don't be a cynic or whatever helps you live. The world is a beautiful and horrible place, Canterbury's alright I suppose....your worst fashion secret?Er, sometimes when making music I wear a certain hat, it's a flat peak fake zebra skin cap, fashion is such an odd entity, I used to do modeling and it was such a weird sensation, like fashion elevates something inside yourself, but I can't cope with that half the time it's too intense and synthetic, but when I'm making music I wear this zebra hat like it's some kind of cape or alter ego....your favourite website?FACT/Dissensus/Blackdown blog (circa 2005/6)/err, Youtube?...do you do on a day off?Music, all day everyday fam. But... recently with my time off I've been watching old samurai films....at the top of your shit list?Is this a bad list? The shit list? If it's bad, probably at the top would be death, 'cause what ya gonna do then y'know? You're dead, pffft blow out....are you listening to now?DJ Nate, DJ Elmoe, DJ Spin (lots of footwurk stuff), early Jammer instrumentals, Trim, Joanna Newsom amongst other stuff, Teeth! Yeah, been listening to those dudes for a while now. How would you describe your work?Oil spilling into the ocean / Tar slowly suffocating a forest / Ghost step / Forever haunting.
